I held onto his arm and stood infront of him.
“How can you say that to me? Do you think am that cheap?! I have no feelings for Kelvin and you know it!” I rapsed almost going crazy.
He took his eyes away from me not saying a word.
“Jeremy, stop giving me the silent treatment. Am not lying to you” I grouse.
He ignored me and carried his briefcase.
He tried to walk away.
“Jeremy, please!” I groaned and snatched his briefcase from his hand.
He turned stretching his hand out for me to give it to him.
I turned and ran out. I rushed up the stairs and he chased me.
“Stella! Am running late!!!” He yelled behind me.
I got to a dead end and he was already behind me.
“Jeremy, listen to me” I pleaded but he collected the briefcase from me and left.
I wasn’t sure of how to react.
I just stood there like a statue.
I’ve never seen him behave this way.
Maybe cause he’ve never gotten angry at me.
What do I do?
The last thing I want right now is him being mad at me.
I can’t tell him about the pregnancy. It won’t change anything.
I have to calm him first before telling him he’ll soon be a dad.
I walked to the bedroom and took a bath.
I woke up later in the evening feeling better than earlier.
I was awake at Kelvin’s house last night cause I couldn’t sleep.
I kept thinking about Jeremy.
I was sad he just hung up like that.
I sighed and got off the bed rubbing my eyes.
I glanced at the window to realize it’s getting dark.
I left the room and walked down the stairs.
I walked past the living room and that’s when I saw Jeremy’s things on the table – phones, documents and briefcase.
Where is he?
I arrived at the kitchen and prepared dinner as fast as I could.
I set the plates and dished our meal.
Just like I planned, I’ll do everything I can to get him to believe me.
I went upstairs and looked around the rooms. I opened the door of the guest room and saw him on the bed.
He was lying on the bed – shirtless with his eyes closed.
I stood at the same spot for a long time just staring at him.
What do I do?
Where do I start from??
I moved my feet and walked into the room.
He noticed immediately and opened his eyes.
Ah! Why does my husband have to be so sensitive??
I squeezed my face as I approached the bed. He sat up and packed his beautiful scattered hair with a hair band.
“Jeremy, dinner’s ready” I said my heart pounding against my shirt.
He didn’t say anything or move.
He just stayed still and he had that dull sleeping face on.
“Lost my appetite” He said and got off the bed.
“Jeremy, please stop doing this? I swear! Nothing happened between Kelvin and I….please” I pleaded and he put his hands on his pocket before leaving the room.
I followed him out but he didn’t mind.
He kept walking slow down the stairs while I stuttered after him.
I couldn’t stop begging.
I said all the words I could say, even ran out of words but Jeremy Sanchez didn’t give me a listening ear.
He snubbed me completely and wouldn’t even say anything.
I almost broke down in tears.
It just didn’t occur to me to call Jeremy and tell him I was heading to Kelvin’s house.
First, I thought he would be extra busy cause he did mention he would be home late. Second, All I could think of was Kelvin and my emotions got the best of me. He’s like the brother I never had. I really wanted to be there for him.
The first few tears dropped from my eyes.
“I hate you Jeremy! You’re so stone hearted! I hate you!” I cried angrily before running up the stairs.
I stormed into my room and shut the door before jumping on my bed and crying like a baby.
I crawled into the guest room Jeremy was in. He was on the bed sleeping.
I glared at him as I bent some more so he won’t notice and wake up.
I got hold of his phone before lying on the floor.
I unlocked his phone and went to his contacts.
I looked for Jeffrey and copied his number.
I dropped back his phone before crawling out of the room.
I need someone that’ll talk to Jeremy and he’ll listen.
His annoying best friend should help.
I called his number and he picked up immediately.
I rolled my eyes.
He must be awake partying.
“Who the fu-k is this?” I heard his deep goofy voice speak.
He must be high.
“Hey Jeffrey, it’s Stella” I said.
“Stella? Did Jeremy hit you? What did that ashle do cause I’ll deal with him…”
“No, Jeffrey,….I did something” I muttered.
